Check Compatibility

The Aqua Optima Evolve+ is compatible with Brita Maxtra & Brita Maxtra+ filter jugs manufactured before June 2020. If you bought your Brita jug after June 2020 see our new range of filters compatible with all Brita oval filter jugs. Chose between Amazon product codes: B0B3JJ5RM9, B0B3JG936H, B0B3JDV486

If using Evolve+ filters with a Brita jug, please check your Brita filter mounting position. If the filter mounting position has a hole then your Aqua Optima Evolve+ filter is compatible.

Prepare Your Filter For Use

Step 1: Remove your Evolve+ filter cartridge from the packaging

Step 2: Soak your Evolve+ filter in water for 5 minutes to remove any air bubbles

Step 3: Hold your Evolve+ filter under running water for 1 minute

Your Evolve+ filter cartridge should now be ready for use

Install Your Filter

CLICK TO FIT: Aqua Optima and some jugs feature a click to fit connection. Remove the water funnel and slot the filter into the underside. Rotate the filter clockwise until it clicks into place. Replace the funnel

DROP IN: Other jugs such as Brita require the filter to be dropped into the funnel. Simply fit the Evolve+ cartridge into the top of the inner vessel/funnel and secure into place

BEFORE FIRST USE: Once your Evolve+ filter is secure fill the inner vessel with water and let it pass through the filter. Once it has been filtered, discard the water. Repeat the procedure once more. Fill the vessel for a third time. Your water filter jug is now ready to use

How do Aqua Evolve+ Water Filter Catrtridges Work?

The Evolve+ water filter incorporates our unique patented 5-step fast flow filtration system which removes high levels of impurities and microplastics from tap water.

Aqua Optima 5-Step Fast Flow Filtration System

  1. The fine particle filter removes large particles, sediment and rust.
  2. Activated carbon adsorbs chlorine and filters out organic impurities, including humic acids, pesticides and herbicides.
  3. A special ion exchange resin helps prevent limescale build up and reduces heavy metals.
  4. The fine mesh filters out tiny particles.
  5. The shape and structure of Evolve ensures a consistent fast flow is maintained throughout the life of the product.

Which Jugs Are Compatible? Evolve+ filters with the exception of Brita PerfectFit jugs purchased after June 2020 are compatible with Aqua Optima, Brita Maxtra, Brita Maxtra+, Tesco, Wilko and all oval water filter jugs and filtered water chillers.
Black Particles In The Water One of the ingredients in our filter is activated carbon, which helps to reduce chlorine and organic impurities. Normally these finer particles are flushed out during filter preparation i.e. by soaking and flushing or running the filter under a tap until clear. We recommend the following: 1. Remove the filter from the inner vessel. 2. Shake it vigorously to loosen and redistribute the filter media. 3. Rinse the filter briefly under a cold tap. 4. Refit to the inner vessel
My Filter Is Running Slowly It is possible for the active ingredient in the filter to become blocked whilst in transit or, in some cases due to excess air in the filter cartridge building up over time. If your filter is running slowly or becomes blocked we recommend the following: 1. Remove the filter from the inner vessel. 2. Shake it vigorously to loosen and redistribute the filter media. 3. Rinse the filter briefly under a cold tap. 4. Refit to the inner vessel
My Filter Seems Too Tight For stiff-fitting filters we recommend: 1. Turn the inner vessel upside down on a non-slip surface 2. Wet the silicon seal with water to act as a lubricant 3. Push down as you twist the cartridge into place.
What Happens After 30 Days? The Evolve+ filters are recommended to last 30 days, or filter 100 litres. After this time the filter will continue to reduce the impurities in tap water but at a lower level after the recommended filter life has expired. Once the water filter is completely used up, the water will be the same quality as tap water. The water filter never releases any impurities back into the water.
Are Your Filters Recyclable? Aqua Optima filters are 100% recyclable. Many supermarkets and retail locations have water filter recycle points. We also have a partnership with TerraCycle in the UK & EIRE - see their website for further details
