What is Vitamin A?
Vitamin A, also known as Retinol, is a fat-soluble vitamin that has numerous health benefits.
Vitamin A can be found naturally in many food sources, including: cheese, eggs, oily fish, milk & yoghurt and liver. You can also get vitamin A by including good sources of beta carotene in your diet, as the body can convert this to vitamin A. However, not everyone consumes enough Vitamin A through their diet, therefore taking a food supplement is a great alternative to prevent deficiency. These are available in the forms of tablets, oils, drops, spray or gummies. Vitamin A can also be purchased as a topical retinoid. Creams, ointments and serums are becoming a staple in many people's skincare routine as it is thought to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improve scarring and skin texture.
