Why is the total Magnesium 2500mg but the Elemental Magnesium only 485mg? What is the difference?
Magnesium doesn’t exist as a pure element, only in compounds called “salts”. The total magnesium salts (Citrate, Glycinate, Malate, Taurate, Orotate, Lactate) weigh 2500mg, whilst 485mg is the amount of pure magnesium within these compounds.
What are chelated forms of Magnesium and why are they better?
Chelated magnesium means magnesium that is in a compound with an organic substance, either an amino acid or another substance that exists in foods or our bodies. Chelated forms are better than magnesium oxide because they are ready to absorb.
