La Stanza dello Scirocco A personal childhood memory
The scirocco room was a place where people took shelter from the hot wind in the old houses of the Sicilian countryside. Mario Trimarchi remembers spending long hours in that room, building tall castles out of cards until someone opened the door, causing the cards to fly through the air. Starting from this personal childhood memory, the author immortalises an image of cards in flight in a fruit bowl characterised by light and graceful lines.
