Senior dogs aged 7 or over have specific nutritional needs. They are often less active so the food has fewer calories and is supplemented with chondroitin and glucosamine. Higher levels of vitamin E help support the older immune system.

Your dog’s digestive system isn’t as quick as yours at adapting when switching diets. So, to avoid them getting an upset tummy we recommend gradually introducing James Wellbeloved or any new food over the course of 5-7 days.

Grain free diets are made without cereals such as wheat. Some dogs are sensitive to cereals and may need a grain free diet to avoid the unpleasant symptoms of food intolerance whilst many other enjoy the taste.​
