Casein protein powder comes in a choice of 3 tasty flavours. You can order either chocolate, strawberry or vanilla to find your favourite. It contains 4.3g of naturally occurring glutamine per serving. Glutamic acid is vital for building proteins and amino acids in the body. The powder also has an added digestive enzyme blend that helps to increase nutrient absorption in the body, ultimately providing you with more energy. Casein has minimal fat and carbohydrate content to effectively complement a calorie-controlled diet or weight management programme.
How to prepare
To make a pre-bedtime shake, simply take 2 scoops of powder (approximately 30g) with 500ml of water or milk in your Applied Nutrition shaker. Mix it well and consume just before bedtime for optimum results. Whilst the slow release protein is a perfect addition to your sleep routine, you can also take it between meals between 2 and 3 times a day.
